The Day Before Thanksgiving

At this time last year we were all talking about April's wedding.

Now we're talking about Laura's.

Wow.

I wonder who it will be next year?

Anyone?

hm.

Maybe Justin's. But maybe he'll already have been married. Perhaps we'll still be talking about, though.

Wow. After Rodney's wedding and Justin's wedding, there won't be any more! After a year and a half of weddings to look forward to, it's going to be bit boring.

I love weddings. I don't love being the Maid of Honor, though. Well, I do and I don't. It's an honor to be the Maid of Honor, but it's also embarrassing to be the first girl in a pretty dress to walk down the aisle. Everybody looks at you, and you don't know where to look.

But I smiled, darn it. ;)

Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow, everyone!

FIRST COMMENT!!! This is such an outrageous post, I thought that I was pushing the boundaries of impropriety, Oh, wait a minute, you mean J. J. and not J. N.?

Also, I'm more into eloping...

I know! I can't believe Laura's getting married Saturday!
Uh, Yeah, Being the Maid of Honor is really embarrassing! This will be my second time.
You said the Maid of Honor walks down first, But she walks down last..'cause she has to be at the end so she can fix the Brides dress. That's how it was for me anyway..maybe people do it different ways.

I do love the weddings too..but it will be kind of nice to have a break. :)

Tracy, you don't have anything to worry about. I happen to know someone, who knows someone, who was told by a very reliable source that YOU are going to be the one getting married next year. whooHOOO!! You GO girl!

Anonymous said...

Ohhh man...Tracy can't get married next year! First of all that's just way too many weddings. second, we're supposed to start a convent. And third, she hasn't found her *Marine, Fire-fighter* yet. Keep looking, Trace..I know he's somewhere. And when you do find him, ask if he has a brother. :)

Hey! Don't go ruining my last comment streak.

:::laughs::: Shelley, I can tell you for absolutely certain that the reliable source is *wrong*, for I have *NO* intention of being married on, by, or anywhere near this time next year.

Marcy's right. That's too many weddings, and besides, she and I have to start this special convent with the way cool rules! AND she is *so* right about the Marine-Fireman! Just think...he's got the great uniform, he has the training of a Marine, AND he's a fireman! What more could a girl want?...oh. Well--that's true...Scottish on top of it all....

::giggles::

OH! "Anonymous"! Of *course* I meant Justin Johnston! Like I would think an almost subdeacon would be getting married next year!

Goodness. The things people will infer!

Anonymous said...

maybe he'll elope.

after being in Anonymous' company for a while, he may become more wicked than before!!

Anonymous said...

Yeah, Firemen are hot! We'll find you one, Tracy. Marines are pretty cute too. :)

Tracy said...

Not me, Christa. But maybe my cousin! My last name is Robinson.

Have any Robinsons in your family tree??

Tracy said...

aaw, thanks, Marcy! ...before or after the convent???

Anonymous said...

Umm...I don't know...I guess after, but we need to hurry and start that 'cause I don't want to be 27 years old and not be married.

Unknown said...

Are you infering that there is anything WRONG with being 27 years old and not married yet?? I will have you know that I fully intend to be THIRTY before I get married! And that's if I even GET married at ALL!!! So THERE!!

*sob*
I'M A LOSER!!!!! I DON'T HAVE A BOYFRIEND, AND I'M ALREADY 20!!!! WHAT'S WRONG WITH MEEEE!!!!!

See how silly that looks? We're young. We have plenty of time to figure out what our vocation will be.............

Last Comment.

I thought I had plenty of time too.
Now I’m 27 and past it.
Ah well.

Scottish men wear *kilts*.

There is a major difference.

Besides, don't Irishmen wear kilts sometimes, also?

Unknown said...

THIS coming from the POPE!? Don't you wear a dress? Oh, excuse me, cassock?

"Call them what you will.
Make as many distinctions as you will.

But *skirts* are for women.

That’s infallible."-BenedictXVI

No, Shelley...I don't think there is anything wrong with being 27 and not married. I just want to be married by the time I'm 27...that doesn't mean I will be, though.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, like if your a nun...

Anonymous said...

Umm...No, I'm not going to be a Nun. :P (I hope)
